President Trump agreed to record a robocall message in support of Republican Roy Moore ahead of Tuesday’s highly anticipated special election in Alabama.
According to a report from Politico, the message is set to hit voters’ phones on Monday, just one day before the election.
Moore is facing a tough battle in the race to fill Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ vacated Senate seat. Since the primary election, nine women have come forward and accused Moore of sexual misconduct while they were teenagers. Moore denies the charges.
While Trump has not visited the state and campaigned on the ground, he has repeatedly declared his support of the Republican candidate, including during a speech in nearby Pensacola, Fla.
This won’t be the first time Trump has recorded a robocall for a Republican candidate in recent months. The president also recorded a message on behalf of Ed Gillespie during the Virginia gubernatorial contest — a race which he lost.
