Soldiers at Camp Shelby dispute commanders’ claims that wind was a factor in a botched nighttime parachute jump that left at least 22 soldiers injured Wednesday during a training exercise.
Camp Shelby commander Col. Bobby Ginn said the wind blew the soldiers into pine trees after they jumped from a C-130 cargo plane, according to a report from WDAM7. But there was no wind whatsoever, witnesses told the Washington Examiner.
