NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) — The Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station is breaking ground on a C-130 cargo plane simulator that’s expected to bring 18 jobs.
A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday.
Col. Steven Parker, commander of the 914th Airlift Wing, says the $5.2 million facility will make the Niagara Falls base a top training destination for Air Force C-130 units. The full-motion and visibility simulator is expected to lower flight training costs.
The C-130 planes are used to drop troops and equipment into hostile areas.
