A 47-year-old Silver Spring man pleaded guilty Tuesday to transporting child pornography and to destruction of records in a federal investigation.

Terry Lee Nolley admitted in federal court in Greenbelt that he and others operated a web-based bulletin board dedicated to trading images of child porn. Members joined upon invitation, and as of August 2008, 142 members belonged to the site, called “Country Lounge.”

Federal agents seized the site and interviewed Nolley, instructing him not to remove anything from his home, prosecutors for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Maryland said. Nolley admitted to throwing the hard drives from his computers into the woods, documents said.

Nolley faces between 5 and 20 years in prison at his sentencing, scheduled for Jan. 25.
