PRINCE GEORGE, British Columbia (AP) — A young Canadian man has been convicted of murdering three women and a teen girl in northern British Columbia.
After less than two days of deliberations, a jury found 24-year-old Cody Legebokoff guilty Thursday of four counts of first-degree murder.

Legebokoff testified in his own defense and admitted his involvement in the three women’s deaths, but said other people were responsible for the murders. He testified he was with Leslie on a remote logging road when she killed herself.
Legebokoff was arrested in November 2010 on a northern highway, and a conservation officer discovered Leslie’s body a short time later.
