Stormy Daniels ‘broke down into sobs’ hearing about Michael Cohen guilty plea

Porn star Stormy Daniels was in Italy when her bodyguard broke the news to her that former longtime Trump attorney Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to violating campaign finance laws in an effort to keep the president’s alleged affairs out of the media.

During a court appearance last month, Cohen said he was directed by Trump to pay off Daniels in the weeks before Election Day.

In an interview that aired Thursday in the Netherlands, Daniels said she cried when she heard the news.

“I didn’t think it would hit me as hard as it did, but I broke down into sobs. I didn’t realize how much it had affected me over the last several months. It’s been eight, nine months of every single day, people saying, ‘You’re lying, you made it up, you just wanted to have sex with him and he turned you down so you made this up,’ or ‘You’re in love with Donald’ — just the most ridiculous things you could imagine,” she told “RTL Late Night with Twan Huys.”

Trump has denied having an extramarital affair with Daniels, which she says happened in the early months of his marriage to Melania Trump.

“Now which one of us looks like a total liar?” she told the Dutch program. “Michael Cohen just confessed last week that I’ve been telling the truth all along.”
