Donald Trump went silent Thursday night when Larry King asked him how he felt about Mexican immigrants. The RT television host of “Politicking” had just entered the 11th minute of their telephone interview when he brought up an issue that has been a controversial topic for the Republican nominee since he launched his campaign last June.
“Let’s get something clear ’cause I’ve known you a long time on this immigration issue, what are your feelings on Mexican immigrants? What are your gut — what do you feel about this?” King asked.

Several seconds passed, and Trump did not reply.
“Donald, are you there?” King asked. “I don’t know what happened there, we did not lose the connection so something happened, but such is life in the big leagues.”
King immediately sent viewers to a commercial break and when the program returned a different guest had joined the show. RT has not issued a statement about the incident or whether Trump disconnected or the Russian station terminated the call.
