Missing Princeton University student Misrach Ewunetie has been found dead, according to police.

Ewunetie’s body was found near the edge of the school’s campus near the tennis courts at approximately 1 p.m. by a school employee, according to a statement from the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office. There were no obvious signs of injury, and her death does not appear suspicious or criminal, the statement said.

“Misrach’s death is an unthinkable tragedy,” a statement from Princeton University read. “Our hearts go out to her family, her friends and the many others who knew and loved her.”

The school is planning an opportunity for students to come together and remember Ewunetie, and information about the gathering will be shared later, according to the school. An autopsy of her body to be conducted by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine her cause of death, according to the prosecutor’s office.

On Thursday morning, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy wrote on social media that he had been in contact with state police, state Attorney General Matt Platkin, and the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office, and that all of them were doing everything they could to find Ewunetie.
