KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A white pickup truck with government tags trailing nuclear testing devices and a weather vane has drawn the attention of Knoxville residents recently.
But the Knoxville News Sentinel reports (http://bit.ly/QJJGhK) it is only students conducting research.

The students are monitoring ambient radiation in downtown Knoxville. That’s the kind of radiation that surrounds us in the environment every day, like the radiation from the sun and Earth.
University of Tennessee Assistant Professor of Nuclear Engineering Jason Hayward is leading the research. He said the students are simply determining a baseline so that future researchers can tell if there are changes.
