As a result of the memorandum of understanding between local organizations, the Baltimore Development Corporation has issued a 120-day Request for Proposals for the Liberty Clay site, the last substantial piece of the “superblock” site that is unclaimed for development.
The memorandum of understanding regarding the property was signed between Baltimore City, the BDC, the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation, The Cordish Company and Lexington Square Partners. Cathedral and Liberty streets to the east, Pratt Street and Washington Boulevard to the south, and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard on the north and west bind Liberty Clay.
For more information about the RFP, contact Kathy A.L. Robertson, director of the Westside Initiative for the BDC, at 410-837-9305. RFPs can be downloaded at www.baltimoredevelopment.com. The deadline for proposals, along with a nonrefundable $250 check is due by noon on Wednesday, August 1.
