AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Police say they’ve arrested eight juveniles in connection to an Austin church that was extensively vandalized last week.
Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo made the announcement on Wednesday. The St. John’s Regular Baptist Association tabernacle was broken into twice last week.
Vandals broke windows, damaged musical equipment, spray-painted profanities and set fire to a carpet.
Acevedo hasn’t said what charges the minors face. He says the suspects’ names will not be released due to their ages.
