A Sterling man was killed in a six-car crash in Fairfax County .
Fairfax police said the crash happened at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday when the man’s Chevrolet truck crossed the median on Braddock Road near Ox Road, sideswiped a van and then hit another van head-on. The truck then overturned.
Police on Wednesday identified the driver as 65-year-old Albert Spriggs.
Three other vehicles were also involved in the crash, police said.
Five people were taken to local hospitals. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening, police said.
Police are still investigating why Spriggs, who was pronounced dead at the scene, apparently lost control of his vehicle. Speed and alcohol are not believed to have been factors in the crash.
