McConnell warns Democrats ‘will permanently disfigure the Senate’

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell ripped into Democrats for blocking a narrow coronavirus aid package while at the same time promising to rid the Senate of the filibuster they used to prevent the measure from moving to the floor for debate.

McConnell, a Kentucky Republican, warned Senate Democrats, if they take the majority in the November election, will move to get rid of the 60-vote threshold required to pass legislation and revert to a simple majority.
