FARMINGTON, N.Y. (AP) — A 23-year-old upstate New York man who was shot several times at the mobile home park where he lives is recovering after surgery.
Ontario County Sheriff Philip Povero says Luiz Garcia Cruz was found on the street in front of his Farmington home early Wednesday evening and underwent emergency surgery at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was listed in guarded condition.
Povero says the assailant fled the scene before emergency responders arrived. A neighbor tells local media several people were involved.
Deputies are searching for a dark blue sport utility vehicle, believed to be a Chevrolet Trailblazer.
