WASHINGTON (AP) — Metro says fans attending post-season games at Nationals Park won’t have to worry whether they can get back on Metro.
Metro and American University announced a partnership Monday that will provide late-night rail service after the games.
Under a normal schedule, the last train with guaranteed connections to other lines departs the Navy Yard station near the ballpark at 11:20 p.m. Sunday through Thursday nights. On Friday and Saturday, the train system stays open until 3 a.m. with the last connecting train departing Navy Yard at 2:20 a.m.
Metro said that for games Sunday through Thursday nights that are still in play as of 10:30 p.m. there will be a special late-night train service.
The Washington Nationals begin their division series against the National League wild card on Friday.
