RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Friends and musical partners of musician Doc Watson are gathering at the North Carolina Museum of Art for a symposium about his life and legacy.
The morning session Saturday at the Raleigh museum examines the roots of Watson’s music in the Blue Ridge Mountains, while the second session concentrates on his success in the urban folk scene.
