HomeAid Northern Virginia on Aug. 28 kicks off its largest project of the year, teaming with builder Pulte Homes to do a free, major renovation on a 10-unit apartment building on Notabene Drive in Alexandria for Community Lodgings. That organization houses homeless families and individuals, and the renovation is being valued at $860,000. “This project is the perfect example of how nonprofits and corporations can work together to address a critical issue impacting our society,” said the president of HomeAid Northern Virginia, Michael Scheurer.
