Priebus: FBI bombshell ‘pretty serious’

Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus said Friday that the FBI’s surprise decision to reopen the Hillary Clinton email case could be a sign that important new information has been found.

“He wouldn’t say ‘may be pertinent’ unless they were pertinent,” Priebus said on Fox News. “My guess is that it’s pretty serious, and that it wouldn’t have happened today if it wasn’t.”

He also commented on Paul Ryan’s statement that Clinton should not be included in ongoing security briefings given to presidential candidates.

“The fact that Paul Ryan has now weighed in and said Hillary Clinton should not be eligible for these briefings tells you lot about what people like Paul Ryan and others on the hill think of Hillary Clinton,” he said.

Priebus said many Republican figures, including Donald Trump, have said Clinton’s case should not have dismissed.

“It’s what we have been saying all along,” Priebus said. “She should have never gotten away with this in the first place.”
