NoVa to receive $350k to study transit solutions for easing Route 7 traffic

Northern Virginia soon will receive a $350,000 grant to study ways of using transit to alleviate traffic along the congested Route 7 corridor.

The Federal Transit Administration awarded the Northern Virginia Transportation Commission the money about two years ago to study a “range of visionary high-capacity transit solutions” along the road from the King Street Metro station to Tysons Corner in Fairfax County. But the earmarked money is only now being released.
