Man gets prison in Houston-based stolen goods case

HOUSTON (AP) — A businessman from Lebanon must serve nearly 13 years in a U.S. prison over a scam involving medicine, baby items and beauty supplies stolen and then resold.

A federal judge in Houston on Thursday sentenced Sameh Khaled Danhach and ordered him to repay $540,000. Danhach last year was convicted of conspiracy to transport stolen merchandise in interstate commerce, transporting stolen merchandise and obstruction of justice.
