RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Last month was the warmest July on record in Roanoke.
The National Weather Service says the average temperature in the city was 80.8 degrees in July, breaking the mark of 80.2 degrees set both last year and in 1993.
Danville, Bluefield and Richmond recorded their second-warmest Julys on record, while Blacksburg had its fourth warmest and Lynchburg its eighth warmest.
