NEW YORK (AP) — New York City police say they’ve charged a Staten Island teenager in connection with a fatal shooting in the borough last week.
Police arrested 18-year-old Steven Mickens on Friday on charges of murder and criminal possession of a weapon in the June 6 shooting.
Mickens is accused of shooting 54-year-old Anthony Clark in his torso and leg around 10:30 p.m. in the island’s Mariners Harbor neighborhood.
Clark was pronounced dead a short time later at Richmond County Medical Center.
Police say the shooting happened down the block from Clark’s home and about a half mile from Mickens’ home.
Information on Mickens’ lawyer wasn’t immediately available.
