CHICAGO (AP) — Original works by some of the world’s best-known modern artists are now on display at a suburban Chicago museum.

Modern Masters is a national touring exhibition. It opened Saturday at the Lake County Discovery Museum in Wauconda.

The exhibition features work by Joan Miro, Salvador Dali, Alexander Calder and Marc Chagall, among others. It is organized by the Pauly Friedman Gallery at Misericordia University in Dallas, Pa.

Katherine Hamilton-Smith is director of cultural resources for the museum. She says the exhibition is dedicated to artists, educators and creative individuals everywhere who have taken the leap of imagination and turned it into tangible works of art.
