Sea ice lecture scheduled at UAF

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (AP) — The University of Alaska Fairbanks is holding a free public lecture on the Arctic’s diminishing sea ice.

The lecture is scheduled to take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at UAF’s Schaible Auditorium.

Officials say Mahoney, a research assistant professor of geophysics at the UAF Geophysical Institute, will speak at the event.
