Police investigating rape at Gaithersburg retirement center

An 18-year-old female employee at a Gaithersburg retirement community was raped in a bathroom at the center, Montgomery County police said.

Police said a man attacked the woman when she entered a bathroom at Asbury Methodist Village, located at 417 Russell Ave., shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday. The suspect threatened the woman with a handgun and raped her, police said.
