Metro Transit police are investigating a series of armed robberies in the parking garage at the Suitland station.
Police say five robberies at the garage have been reported since since Sept. 27. The first four happened between 5:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., the last one happened at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
In each case, a man with a black handgun approached the riders, demanded property and fled from the garage on foot.
The suspect is 5-foot-6 dark complected black male, in his early- to mid-20s, with dreadlocks and a baseball cap. Anyone with information about the crimes is asked to call police at (202) 962-2121.
