Jason Aldean: Las Vegas shooting ‘beyond horrific’

Country singer Jason Aldean, who was performing when a gunman opened fire on the Las Vegas Strip, called the attack “beyond horrific.”

In a post on Instagram, Aldean said the mass shooting that left 50 people dead and more than 400 injured “hurts my heart that this would happen to anyone who was just coming out to enjoy what should have been a fun night.”

“Tonight has been beyond horrific,” he wrote. “I still don’t know what to say but wanted to let everyone know that Me and my Crew are safe.”

A video released Monday showed the moment suspected shooter, Stephen Paddock, opened fire on the Las Vegas concert.

The band stopped playing as shots rang out, then a second round of shooting began.

Paddock was found dead in his hotel room by police.
