Gang member sentenced to 21 years in Md. prison
MS-13 gang member James Guillen, aka “Toro,” 21, of Hyattsville, has been sentenced to 21 years in prison by a Maryland U.S. District judge for running racketeering operations for the El Salvador-based gang.
He was arrested in August 2005 on racketeering, murder and assault charges after helping the gang murder two girls they believed to be informants from a rival gang. He entered a plea agreement after pleading guilty in October.

Sheriff’s deputy pleads guilty to receiving child porn
A 19-year veteran of the Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office, Robert A. Romero Jr., 44, of Centreville, pleaded guilty Tuesday in the Eastern U.S. District of Virginia to receiving child pornography via the Internet.
He resigned as a master deputy sheriff in November after an FBI agent discovered Romero sharing child pornography images online.
The FBI, after seizing his computer, found 1,500 illegal images.
Romero faces a mandatory prison sentence of five years and a maximum of 20 years. – Freeman Klopott
Pr. George’s police looking for missing woman, 69
Prince George’s County police are investigating the disappearance of Zerlee Jones, 69. Jones left her daughter’s home in Temple Hills Thursday and hasn’t been seen since.
She is 5-foot-5, weighs about 140 pounds, and may be wearing a black jacket and black pants.
She suffers from schizophrenia and needs her medicine, police said.

Police investigate homicide
Prince William County police are investigating the apparent homicide of a Manassas area man found dead inside a parked car Monday afternoon, police spokeswoman Erika Hernandez reported Tuesday.
The cause of death for John Robert Anderson, 46, was not clear, pending an autopsy, Hernandez said. – Dan Genz
