Mount Rushmore to be featured on new quarter
This undated photo provided by Mount Rushmore National Memorial shows an illustration of a new quarter that the U.S. Mint will release next year featuring the famous mountain carving. The illustration portrays two workers on the sculpture finalizing the carving of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson. The quarter will be the 20th released in the America the Beautiful series. Mount Rushmore last appeared on a quarter in 2006, when it was featured on the state’s quarter. (AP Photo/Mount Rushmore National Memorial) | AP
