A Fox News reporter who was wounded while covering the war in Ukraine says he’s lost half a leg, a foot, and the use of one eye.
Benjamin Hall, a foreign correspondent for Fox News, provided an update on his condition Thursday, roughly three weeks after getting hurt while reporting outside Kyiv in an attack that killed two of his colleagues. He also shared a photo showing him sporting an eye patch.
“To sum it up, I’ve lost half a leg on one side and a foot on the other,” Hall shared in a tweet. “One hand is being put together, one eye is no longer working, and my hearing is blown.”
Despite the grievous injuries, Hall said he felt “pretty damn lucky to be here” and described the people who had gotten him to where he is now as “amazing.”

In another tweet, Hall paid a tribute to deceased colleagues Pierre Zakrzewski, a Fox News cameraman, and journalist Oleksandra “Sasha” Kuvshynova, who was serving as a consultant for Fox News.
“Pierre and I traveled the world together, working was his joy and his joy was infectious,” Hall said. “RIP.”
