LANSING, Mich. (AP) — People are lining up to get into the state Capitol in anticipation of the heated battle over right-to-work legislation in Michigan.
About a half hour before the doors were to open Tuesday morning more than 200 people were waiting to get inside.

Among them is 53-year-old Wes Nakagiri of Livingston County’s Hartland Township. He’s an engineer with an auto parts supplier in Troy and says he turned out to see the “historical signifance” of the day. He says he supports the legislation but “can see both sides.”
Authorities in Lansing are bracing for an onslaught of demonstrators.
Fifty-four-year-old Sharon Mowers of Lansing is a United Auto Workers member who has worked for General Motors Co. for 13 years. She turned out and says the legislation will bring workers lower wages.
