‘Loses in a landslide’: Rob Reiner pushes for mail-in voting to defeat Trump in November

Director and actor Rob Reiner offered an idea on how Democrats can beat President Trump “in a landslide” come November.

Reiner tweeted Sunday that the president has “gotten away with assaulting women, breaking laws” and proposed mail-in voting as a means to stop his reelection chances.

“He’s gotten away with assaulting women, breaking laws, violating the Constitution and letting US die. The vote in Nov. is our last chance to hold him accountable. He knows if we’re allowed to vote by mail, he loses in a landslide. We all know what needs to be done,” he wrote.

Democrats across the country, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Rep. Ilhan Omar, have called for an increase in mail-in voting, citing coronavirus fears. However, recent reports revealed that more than 28 million mail-in ballots from over the last decade have gone missing.

Reiner’s tweet is his latest critique of the president. Last month, he accused Trump of being a “sociopath” and claimed the president has “no feeling” about people who are suffering and dying from the coronavirus. He also called on voters to rally behind presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in March in order to oust “the most Criminally Corrupt President in our Nation’s history.”

“The survival of Democracy depends on the removal of the most Criminally Corrupt President in our Nation’s history,” Reiner tweeted in March. “It’s time to put our differences aside and celebrate what unites US by coalescing behind Joe Biden. This Nov. let’s blow the Sick Liar away.”
