ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — The Arlington County Board has awarded a $26 million engineering and design contract for a streetcar between Fairfax and Arlington counties.
The board voted 3-2 late Tuesday to award the contract to Omaha, Nebraska-based HDR Engineering. HDR has worked on streetcar projects throughout the world, including in the District of Columbia.
