KRASNAYA POLYANA, Russia (AP) — Maria Hoefl-Riesch won her second straight Olympic super-combined title Monday, with downhill leader Julia Mancuso settling for bronze.

Hoefl-Riesch was fifth fastest in the opening downhill leg, but her superior slalom skills gave her the gold at the finish. She is, after all, the defending Olympic champion in slalom.
