Andrew Parsley
Occupation: Principal, St. Elizabeth School
Home: Baltimore
Achievement: Parsley replaces Dr. Christine Manlove, who became principal in 1988 and will continue to serve as executive director of St. Elizabeth School. Parsley joined the school’s faculty in 1996.
“I am confident that the school will continue to improve its ability to meet the needs of our students and their families. I hope the students are looking forward to the 2008-2009 school year as much as I am.”
Vicki Cox
Occupation: Senior vice president, marketing, Provident Bank
Home: Ellicott City
Achievement: Cox was recently promoted to senior vice president within the marketing division at Provident Bank headquarters in Baltimore. She will be primarily responsible for managing communications strategies and tactics in areas including media relations, community relations, competitive positioning and crisis communications.

Deb Poquette
Occupation: Realtor
Home: Howard County
Achievement: The Howard County Association of Realtors recently announced Poquette as the recipient of the distinguished Realtor of the Year award. Contributing factors leading to this award were participation in the Realtor Association and committees at the local and state level, civic activity and community service, education, and business conduct.

Leah Worthington
Occupation: Towson University graduate
Home: Bowie
Achievement: Worthington was recently awarded a Fulbright U.S. Student scholarship to study the historical and current African presence in Sri Lanka. She will go to Sri Lanka next month to work on her nine-month project. As a Fulbright scholar, Worthington will divide her time between archival research in the capital, Colombo, and field research.
“I don’t think I would have reached for a Fulbright award if I hadn’t attended school at a place such as [Towson University], which emphasizes personalized attention from faculty.”
April Osmanof
Occupation: Designer/producer, Fastspot
Home: Baltimore
Achievement: Osmanof holds a master’s degree in graphic design from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, where she also earned her bachelor’s degree. In her new position at Fastspot, Osmanof is producer and designer for clients including the American Beverage Association, Cecil County Public Library, Delaware College of Art and Design, and Milkdelivers.org.
