HOUSTON (AP) — A driver has been detained after a worker at a Houston motel entered a room to clean it and found blood and a man’s body in the bathtub.
J.C. Mosier with the Harris County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office says a deputy constable early Tuesday stopped a vehicle going north on a southbound frontage road. Mosier says the driver appeared distraught, had a cut on his arm and his clothing was bloody.
Investigators say the car belonged to the man found slain at the motel. The driver had the dead man’s wallet, driver’s license and cellphone.
Houston police questioned the driver and did not immediately announce any charges.
The name of the man who died and a possible cause of death weren’t immediately released.
