A 39-year-old District man pleaded guilty to distributing more than 20,000 photos and 500 videos of child pornography.
Gustavo Chinchilla has agreed to a sentence of 10 years in prison as part of his plea deal, federal prosecutors in D.C. said.
According to court documents, Chinchilla was arrested last year after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip about child pornography being posted on the Internet. An investigation revealed that many of the photos were posted from Chinchilla’s home in Northeast Washington. A search warrant executed at his home revealed several computers, and hundreds of CDs and DVDs containing child pornography.
