Arlington police are looking for two men who are suspects in the robbery of an armored car at the Pentagon City mall Tuesday afternoon.
Police spokesman John Lisle said the robbery took place at around 1:30 p.m. Shots were fired, but no one was injured.
An undisclosed amount of money was stolen in the robbery.
Lisle said one suspect approached an guard from Unbar Security as he walked in a hallway behind a bank in the mall. A struggle ensued, and a shot was fired at the guard.
The second guard was still in the truck.
Police shut down the parking garage temporarily, then let cars leave one-by-one as they looked for suspects. Canine units were brought in, but turned up nothing, Lisle said.
Lisle described the first suspect as a black man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 200 pounds. He said the suspect was wearing a light-blue shirt, dark pants and a dark hat, and possibly body armor.
Lisle described the second suspect as a black man, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds, wearing dark blue sweats and a dark ball cap.
