Hispanic Dems: ‘Give Republicans the kick in the teeth they deserve’

Fundraisers held by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus over the Memorial Day weekend called on supporters to “give Republicans the kick in the teeth they deserve” in order to defend President Obama.

“We MUST hit our emergency $50,000 dollar goal to give Republicans the kick in the teeth they deserve,” BOLD Pac, the campaign arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, insisted in a Monday afternoon message.

That message was a response to news that some GOP members of the Oklahoma state legislature are agitating for Obama’s impeachment, even though they have no power to bring about such charges. BOLD Pac sent out an urgent message under the subject line “Obama IMPEACHED (Urgent).” Such a “DESPICABLE assault [can’t] go unpunished,” the group explained.

“Look, this is the worst attack on President Obama we’ve EVER faced,” the email says. “And we’re running out of time to get the president’s agenda back on track.”

The group sent out a similar message to anyone who tries to unsubscribe from BOLD Pac’s messages. “Speaker Boehner and the entire Republican establishment are determined to defeat our Democratic agenda,” the website says.

Former House Speaker John Boehner resigned from Congress at the end of October. BOLD Pac endorsed Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign at the end of February.
