Upstate couple admits to $400K benefits scam

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Federal prosecutors say the owners of an upstate New York trucking business have pleaded guilty to illegally collecting more than $400,000 in government benefits.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Albany say 53-year-old Scott Bornt and his 50-year-old wife, Geri Mondlin-Bornt, pleaded guilty earlier this week to Social Security fraud.
