RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A Japan-based manufacturer of rubber track carriers is planning two manufacturing operations in Virginia.
Gov. Bob McDonnell said Tuesday that two product assembly operations will be established in Hanover County by Morooka Co. Ltd. and its sister company, Virginia Steel Specialties LLC.
McDonnell says the facilities will produce 100 machines annually. Up to 50 jobs will be created over the next three years.
Funding services to support the company’s recruitment, training and retraining will be provided by the Virginia Department of Business Assistance through its Virginia Jobs Investment Program.
