HUMBLE, Texas (AP) — Residents of two subdivisions along a swollen suburban Houston river are ducking flooded roads left by heavy rains this week.
The Northshore and Belleau Wood subdivisions north of Humble (UHM’-bl) sit along the shores of the flood-prone West Fork of the San Jacinto River. Many of the homes are elevated to avoid flooding, but floodwaters limit access to and from parts of those neighborhoods.
