Maryland cemetery celebrating 250th anniversary

REISTERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — A cemetery in Reisterstown is celebrating its 250th anniversary.

The Reisterstown Community Cemetery was founded in 1764 by John Reister, Reistertown’s founder. A German immigrant, he operated an inn, and when he died in 1804 he was buried at the cemetery.
