Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold will be in costume as Abraham Lincoln to celebrate the former president’s 200th birthday. Leopold will be joined by The Northeast High School Band, and Civil War re-enactment Union soldiers will join Leopold on Thursday at Marley Station Mall on Ritchie Highway. He will talk about the Gettysburg Address and some of Lincoln’s experiences in Maryland, followed by a rendition of “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” by the band. As a state delegate, Leopold addressed the General Assembly as Lincoln in 1987, 1995 and 2006.
