Boston travel agent arraigned on larceny charges

BOSTON (AP) — The owner of a travel agency in Boston’s Chinatown neighborhood has pleaded not guilty to charges that she stole nearly $90,000 from immigrants she had promised to help secure U.S. citizenship even though they did not meet the English language requirement.

May Woo Lei was arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court on Wednesday on 24 counts of larceny over $250 charges that also stems from allegations that she failed to deliver valid airline tickets to customers who paid her more than $40,000.
