Michigan’s attorney general tweeted support for presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg days after a top conservative radio show host made disparaging comments about the former mayor.
Rush Limbaugh told his millions of listeners that it is “fun envisioning” Buttigieg, who is gay, facing off against “Mr. Man Donald Trump.” Attorney General Dana Nessel, who identifies as a lesbian, defended Buttigieg in honor of Valentine’s Day by posting a picture kissing her “super hot wife.”
“In honor of Valentines Day, here is an awkward picture of me making out with my super hot wife on election night,” tweeted Nessel. “@PeteButtigieg is not going back in the closet, and neither am I. Happy VD to you too, Rush Limbaugh.”

President Trump awarded Limbaugh the Presidential Medal of Freedom at this month’s State of the Union, surprising the talk show host who revealed last month that he had been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer.
