NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Norfolk Southern is helping West Virginians recover from a devastating June storm.

The Norfolk-based transportation company said Wednesday that the Norfolk Southern Foundation will give $50,000 to the American Red Cross of West Virginia to help with recovery efforts.

The June 29 storm downed trees and power lines across the state and left more than 680,000 electricity customers without power, some for more than a week.
