The Trump administration’s Commission on Combating Drug Addiction and the Opioid Crisis, led by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, is expected to miss its second deadline for filing an interim report.

The commission, which operates under the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), was created by President Trump in March to review the federal government’s approach to the ongoing drug crisis and opioid epidemic. Membership on the commission is comprised of current and former lawmakers, as well as academics.
