D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray has an ally next door in Prince George’s County.
Prince George’s County Executive Rushern Baker said he supports Gray, who was arrested this week after staging a protest of federal control of the District.
Gray has said the federal government treats District residents as “second-class citizens.”
“We’re in support of their effort to get full voting rights,” Baker said Thursday on TBD’s NewsTalk. “I want to make that very clear on a personal level. I’m in support of that.”
He added: “I’ve become very close with the mayor of the District of Columbia. I think he’s a great individual and a great leader.”
