A service member was killed and two were wounded in Afghanistan on Monday in what appears to be an insider attack, the NATO Resolute Support coalition said.
The attack occurred in Herat province in western Afghanistan and initial reports indicate it was committed by a member of the Afghan security forces, according to a coalition press release. Pentagon spokesman Col. Rob Manning said the service member was not American.
